What comes after IDA?

Ever wondered what alumni do after IDA, and where they end up in life?
Here are some statistics about it!

Most alumni choose to pursue a PhD: among those who graduated in or before 2024, 73% are currently PhD candidates or have completed a PhD.
About half of these positions are at Tilburg University, while others are spread across the Netherlands, Europe, and beyond.

However, not everyone follows the same path: some pursue a PhD, others don’t! Either way, many alumni stay in academia, pursuing (postdoctoral) research, teaching or policy advisor positions. On the other hand, a great amount of alumni steer towards the private sector, pursuing a career in the industry as a data analyst, a Human Resources development specialist, or a research analyst, amongst many other possibilities. We even have a few alumni who have worked for the Dutch Military or Government, and of course some who follow a clinical career.
