What inspired you to pursue the IDA Master program?
My interest in getting to know the individual differences in students’ learning and motivation
What motivates you to pursue this field of study, and what personal significance or purpose do you find in it?
The more we learn, the more I realise how complex and profound everything is, especially regarding the uniqueness of each individual, which is mind-blowing.
Which field do you see yourself pursuing after completing the program?
Academia & Research
Looking at the program schedule, which courses are you most excited about and why?
So far, I am personally interested in discussing the theories and development in the Theoretical Model course, as well as the Dynamics of Individual Differences.
Do you ever feel stressed or under pressure in your studies? How do you manage those challenges? Any tips to share?
Most of the time, I feel stressed, but I prioritise my tasks and keep going gradually, like studying almost every day.
What motivates you to keep going when things get tough?
Reviewing how far I have gotten
How do you see the skills and knowledge from the IDA Master being applied in the real world?
I think it’s still a bit early to decide, because there hasn’t been a focus and we are trying to look at most of the things. I think I can say better in traineeships and after the first-year paper.
What do you enjoy most about collaborating with your peers, supervisors, or being part of the IDA community?
Everyone is interested and eager to discuss and collaborate.
How would you describe your relationship with the faculty in the IDA program? How does this influence your learning experience?
I feel very supported by all the professors, and even in lessons where I have been feeling weak, the professors always assisted me with my questions.
How would you describe an “IDA student”? What common qualities do they share, and who do you think is best suited for this program?
Always studying and analysing things
Is there anything you wish you had known before starting that would have made your journey smoother, and what advice (or tip) would you give to someone just beginning the program?
I was told it would be a bit overwhelming at first, but I couldn’t have imagined it would be this intense. I’m still trying to hold myself together until the first semester is over and things improve, just as everyone said. As a piece of advice, I would say to get ready and study from the very first day.
