The course is the first course within the research master programme that is devoted to statistical and methodological foundations of assessment. The course has a theoretical and an applied part, which are combined throughout the course. The students get familiar with the theoretical foundations of different measurement models and learn to apply psychometric methods for the construction and evaluation of measurement instruments (scales, questionnaires, surveys, and tests). Various traditional and modern psychometrics approaches are discussed.
