The course Research Seminar trains students in interpreting and communicating scientific results, and supports students in writing and presenting their First Year Paper. It runs parallel to the First Year Paper course. Students are introduced to different steps of the research process, the development of research questions and hypotheses, and the art of scientific writing. They are guided in preparing, structuring, writing, and presenting their First Year Paper. Students review writing samples and presentations from other students and receive feedback on the oral and written presentation of parts of their First Year Paper.
